    • New facilities equipped with the latest technology.
    • Developing new advanced services and enhancing existing services.

    About NorthBay

    Non-Profit, an Important Difference

NorthBay Healthcare, which opened its first hospital in 1960, is Solano County’s only locally-based, locally-managed non-profit healthcare organization. Our two hospitals, NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield and NorthBay VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville, are known for providing the community with quality services.

Both hospitals offer 24-hour emergency care, intensive care, and sophisticated surgical and diagnostic services. Both hospitals have maintained accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. The Emergency Departments at both include an accredited Chest Pain Center for acute cardiac care.

The 120-bed NorthBay Medical Center is a center of excellence for maternal and child services. It also has a Newborn Intensive Care Unit that provides the most sophisticated services for premature or ill newborns within 50 miles. It hosts the NorthBay Heart & Vascular Center, the only open-heart surgery center in the county.

Center for Primary Care, with offices in Fairfield, Vacaville and Green Valley, is a partnership between NorthBay Healthcare and a group of respected local physicians. The Center includes board certified family practice physicians, internists and pediatricians and affiliated physician specialists throughout the Solano County region.

Other keynote services include NorthBay Cancer Center on the Fairfield campus, the county’s first such nationally accredited center, along with the Center for Women’s Health.

     We’re Tobacco-Free

As Solano County’s locally-based health care provider, NorthBay Healthcare is committed to providing a healthy, tobacco-free environment.

To protect the health and safety of patients, employees and visitors, NorthBay Healthcare prohibits tobacco use in and around all facilities. Our tobacco-free policy extends to all outside areas, including walkways, patios and parking lots on NorthBay Healthcare property. Smoking and other forms of tobacco use are widely recognized as the No. 1 cause of preventable disease and death.
