After two years as an emergency room physician in the South Bronx, and two years in Family Medicine, I discovered my love for women’s health. I completed a Women’s Health Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and plan to build my practice caring for women ages upper teens and older.
As a Women's Health Specialist, my interests include perimenopause, menopause and hormone therapy; prevention and treatment of osteopenia and osteoporosis; contraceptive counseling; female sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain and vulvovaginal disorders; office-based gynecologic procedures (colposcopy, IUD, biopsy), preventive medicine and women's cardiovascular health.
I want my patients to understand the effects of menopause on their overall health. Loss of the female hormone estrogen can weaken a woman's bones, increase cholesterol levels that contribute to coronary artery disease, cause emotional changes, vaginal changes, and urinary tract changes.
I offer my patients hormone therapy, including the FDA-approved bio-identical hormone therapy.
I am a strong believer in patient education and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
My hobbies include cooking, hot yoga, reading and travel.
