R2D2 Diabetes Bike Rolls for a Good Cause

September 22, 2015

Life always gives us a second chance. It's called tomorrow! If you have thought about trying something different when it comes to outdoor activity, now is your chance to come and join us on a bike ride. Don't wait until tomorrow! There will be music, food and a fun way to get some exercise. It's easy;just get on your bike and push the pedals!

Come rediscover the joy that comes from riding through the neighborhoods of Vacaville and the back roads of Solano County with us on Sunday, Oct. 4, for the fourth annual Ride to Defeat Diabetes.

There are three rides planned: a 10-mile family-friendly loop, a 25-mile ride and a 60-mile "metric century" ride. The fees are $15, $30, and $45.

The ride's purpose is to promote a healthy lifestyle to prevent diabetes and to bring awareness to the diabetes situation in our community. The proceeds will go to raise funds for NorthBay's Center for Diabetes &Endocrinology to help us in this effort.

I will be at the Ride to Defeat Diabetes on Sunday, and look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have.

So, break out those bikes and come on over to NorthBay VacaValley Hospital, 1000 Nut Tree Road on Oct. 4, and join us as we "Ride to Defeat Diabetes!"

For more information about the ride or to sign up, visit the R2D2 website at www.NorthBay.org/r2d2

Don't ride? Consider volunteering! We could use your help.
