Traffic Alert for Thursday, July 30

July 30, 2015

The modernization project at NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield continues to report changes in traffic flow. Beginning July 30, vehicles entering from Kensington Drive into the Annex parking lot – the building directly behind the NorthBay Medical Center -- will find only one-way traffic allowed, between now and mid-August. Drivers will be directed to leave by continuing south, and then east past the Penn Tab building.

Please plan accordingly and allow extra time for parking during construction periods. Employees are encouraged to park in employee-designated locations at the mall and in the neighboring United Methodist Church lot, freeing up parking spaces in our lots for patients.

USE CAUTION:

  • Do not walk through or drive through construction gates. It is unsafe for anyone but construction personnel to be within the jobsite boundaries.
  • Be aware of your surroundings, including trucks, equipment and added traffic coming and going. Caution your patients and visitors to be alert and aware.
  • Don't cross a barrier even if it is only yellow caution tape. It's barricaded because it's not safe.
  • If you encounter a construction vehicle outside of the barriers, make sure you make eye contact with the driver before entering the vehicle's path of travel.
