Installation of the exterior doors is taking place this week and other construction has moved to the inside of the Welcome Pavilion at NorthBay Medical Center.

Crews are busy installing hand rails for the roof stairs, electrical for the new heating and air conditioning units, and installing lighting and diffusers in the Pavilion’s wood ceiling.

Work is also ongoing on the connector between the Pavilion and the main hospital. This includes installing overhead ducting, adding drywall to the ceilings, and framing and installing sheet rock. Work also continues on the connector roof.

USE CAUTION:

  • Do not walk through or drive through construction gates. It is unsafe for anyone but construction personnel to be within the jobsite boundaries.
  • Be aware of your surroundings, including trucks, equipment and added traffic coming and going. Caution your patients and visitors to be alert and aware.
  • Don't cross a barrier even if it is only yellow caution tape. It's barricaded because it's not safe.
  • If you encounter a construction vehicle outside of the barriers, make sure you make eye contact with the driver before entering the vehicle's path of travel.
