Bereavement Center Adds New Adult Support Groups
NorthBay Bereavement Center has added new adult support groups to their schedule. All groups are free and open to anyone in the community who has lost a loved one.
Adult evening classes include one for those who have lost a loved one to suicide that meets every other Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.; a group for the newly bereaved that meets every Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and a group for those who are growing through grief that meets every Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. These groups are facilitated by Barbara Bean Jenson, LCSW.
The center has also added daytime support groups. They include an adult faith-based group that meets on Wednesday mornings from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and a growing through grief group that meets Wednesday afternoon from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. These groups are facilitated by Chaplain Bladimer Paeste.
