NorthBay Cheers Those who Bike to Work
NorthBay Healthcare continues its support of Bike to Work Day, operating two “Energizer Stations” in Solano County for the May 8 event.
Employees and volunteers manned stations in Vacaville, next to the Transporation Center on Allison and Ulatis drives, and in Fairfield, at Pennsylvania Avenue and Dana Drive, along the Linear Park near NorthBay Medical Center. They greeted passersby and handed out bags supplied by the Solano Transportation Authority and filled with snacks, maps, lip balm and more.
The energizer stations opened at 6 a.m. to accommodate hospital staff members who report to work earlier than most other companies.
Complex Case Manager Debbie Lum, her husband Dr. Cal Lum and Certified Nurse Assistant Carol Switzer were at the the Vacaville Energizer Station.
Patrick Garner, R.N., greets Scotty Morrison at the NorthBay-sponsored energizer station in Fairfield hear the hospital. Both men are previous Solano Commuter of the Year honorees.
