Bricks Will Pay Tribute to Loved Ones
The brick walkway leading to the entrance of new Green Valley Health Plaza building will literally be paved with memories and loving tributes.
Those memories and tributes can be affixed to nearly 1,300 specially designed memorial bricks that will be set in the “Legacy and Reflection Garden” just outside the new building’s entrance. These special bricks can be fitted with an engraved brass plaque that can serve as lasting and loving tribute to friends, family members and co-workers.
The bricks and plaques are available for purchase, as part of a fundraising effort to benefit the programs of NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement, ensuring that program services continue to be available for those who may need it, on into the future.
“This is the first time we’ve offered this opportunity for people within our community to commemorate and honor their loved ones in a way that all may see,” says Brett Johnson, president of NorthBay Healthcare Foundation.
And the walkway is a fitting location for these special bricks, Brett adds, as Green Valley Health Plaza is the new home of NorthBay Health at Home and Hospice & Bereavement.
The bricks are available in two sizes — eight by eight inches and four by eight inches — and, depending on the size, its brass plaque can include from three to seven lines of copy. Several designs, such as a heart, flower, star, baby foot imprint or the NorthBay Healthcare logo may also be engraved on the plaque.
The bricks are available for a minimum contribution of $100 for the four-by-eight-inch size, and $250 for the eight-by-eight-inch size.
