Hundreds of children’s books donated!
NorthBay Medical Center’s Emergency Department is the grateful recipient of a gift of hundreds of children’s books donated by members of the Solano County Public Defender’s office.
“We’ll be able to hand out the books to children who come to our Emergency Department,” says Daman Mott, director of Emergency and Trauma services. “And of course we’ll share with our sister units.”
According to Public Defender Lesli Caldwell, a local agency or organization is selected twice a year to receive a donation generated by her team. Last time her group collected socks for clients of Mission Solano.
“We have 80 employees and 100 percent involvement,” said Lesli.
When the Public Defender’s office learned of NorthBay’s efforts to upgrade pediatric care, it just clicked, Lesli explained.
