Mobile Urgent Care Comes to Solano for WHA Subscribers

ER Direct, the No. 1 mobile urgent care provider in the Bay Area, will bring premier mobile urgent care service to some subscribers of Western Health Advantage in Solano and Napa counties, starting March 1. er2

WHA subscribers who have a primary care physician in the NorthBay Healthcare network and live in Napa or Solano County will have access to ER Direct for the cost of an urgent care copay. Urgent copay amount will be specific to the member's benefit plan with WHA. The service is available to non-NorthBay WHA members on a fee-for-service basis, according to ER Direct Co-founder Caesar Djavaherian, M.D. The service is available seven days a week, and no appointments are necessary. The service will send experienced doctors, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to the patient, whether at work, home or traveling in the coverage area.

“We treat a wide range of conditions, from sprains and broken bones to flu and other infections,” says Dr. Djavaherian, a NorthBay ED medical director. “We have intravenous fluids and can offer instant lab results, all in the comfort of your own home, hotel or office.” The mobile units carry diagnostic equipment, medical supplies and medications. Fees are due at the time of service.

“This service highlights NorthBay’s commitment to its WHA-insured employees. Being able to have a clinician come to one’s house rather than going to an urgent care or Emergency Department for urgent medical care is something no company has done before, so I am excited to offer this service,” says Dr. Djavaherian.
