Alzheimer’s Program: “Keeping Your Home Safe” is May 14

Learn how to keep your loved ones as safe and secure as possible during a free caregivers’ seminar, “Keeping Your Home Safe,” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, at the NorthBay Adult Day Center in Vacaville.

People with Alzheimer's disease or dementia can lose their sense of what's safe and what might be risky. Keeping loved ones safe is a top priority for family members caring for a loved one with progressive memory and cognitive impairment.

Master Social Worker Deanna Randall has been with the Greater Bay Area Alzheimer’s Association for more than 10 years and has worked with family caregivers for more than 20 years. As a family care specialist, she provides care consultation and support to family members caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and related forms of dementia. In addition, she facilitates support groups and provides educational presentations for family caregivers and the general community.

The NorthBay Adult Day Center is located at 1020 Nut Tree Road. For further information, call (707) 624-7971 or (707) 624-7970. No RSVP is required to attend.
