I was always drawn to medicine, even as a small child. I loved hearing stories from doctors in my community about the kinds of patients they saw, I read everything I could about medicine, and Rescue 9-1-1 was my favorite TV show! Over time, that initial interest developed into a desire to understand the many factors and circumstances contributing to overall wellness, and a deep commitment to promoting healing in my community.
I specialize in Family Medicine, and I cannot imagine practicing in any other area! It allows me to participate in a large variety of cases throughout the lifespan, both acute and chronic. However, my favorite aspect is the continuity of care it allows. It is so rewarding following parents through pregnancy, meeting their newborn, and watching that baby grow up. I love working with patients to arrive at a diagnosis, and developing a treatment plan that we can watch unfold and take root making positive changes in their lives over time. I love playing a role in enhancing the wellness within families and their communities, and having an understanding of the unique challenges faced by both. Family medicine is very much aligned with my personal philosophy of practice, which includes the ability to help any person who needs it, and never turn anyone away.
I am compassionate and collaborative in my practice. I always aim to work with a patient to develop a plan of care that feels attainable, supported, and inclusive of their concerns and overall wellbeing. My best tool as a provider is listening to the patient! I cannot count the number of times a patient has told me, “You’re the first person who has actually listened to me.”

The size of the community allows me to establish ongoing relationships with patients. I work as part of an interdisciplinary team that provides comprehensive patient care and views each individual as a complex whole.
