I started in healthcare as a medical assistant, I loved what I did and the profession. Many people inspired me to continue my training in the medical field, including physicians, nurse practitioners and my older brother who is a physician. My focus has always been family medicine since day one as I enjoy helping people of all ages. As a family medicine practitioner, I see pediatric and adult patients with a wide variety of issues, from common acute illnesses, to chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, musculoskeletal disorders, to name a few.
If someone were to describe my practice style, I think they would say I am caring, compassionate, empathetic and understanding. I strive to help people feel comfortable talking with me and to earn their trust as to care for them. It brings me immense joy when I see a patient achieve their health goals, being part of the integrated care team, and seeing him/her make progress on their goals. It is always inspiring.
Outside of the work, I enjoy music, DIY-from auto mechanics, to straightforward home improvement projects, to landscaping, and someday I plan craft my own red wine!
However, what I enjoy most is being able to serve the community in which I grew up in!
