Professional Profile

Growing up in a medical family, I always knew I wanted to be a doctor. My father and his two brothers were physicians and when I was a child, I would go with my dad to his office and to the hospital on occasion.

I did my residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a number of years ago became an Ob/Gyn hospitalist, specializing in inpatient obstetric care. I chose this medical career path because I was fascinated with obstetrics from my first rotation in medical school. Caring for pregnant women and bringing new life into the world is so gratifying. It is the best part of any day. Seeing the new parents and their family with a healthy baby makes me the happiest.

Besides labor and delivery, I also help patients with hypertension/preeclampsia, diabetes, multiple pregnancies, preterm rupture of membranes, placental abruption. I am a kind and caring person, and soft spoken. I try to be calming and comforting but I am also very diligent and hard-working. I focus on my patients’ needs and what is best for them and their babies. I want them to know that I will be their health care partner and do my best to meet their expectations.

When I am not working, I enjoy playing the drums. I have played since I was 13 and still enjoy it. I also enjoy swimming, going for walks and my wife and I love to travel.
