EBP Symposium, Magnet Workshop Coming in September
NorthBay Healthcare continues to build upon its reputation as a leader in evidence-based practice and leadership by holding an EBP and Nursing Research Symposium, and by hosting a two-day Magnet workshop at the Green Valley Administration Center in September.
The ANCC Journey to Magnet Workshop has been scheduled for Sept. 1-2. This workshop provides attendees with a comprehensive overview of the Magnet application process, and is the only ANCC-sponsored Magnet Readiness Workshop that will be held on the West Coast in 2016. NorthBay Healthcare’s third annual Evidence-Based Practice and Nursing Research Symposium will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 16. The theme of this year’s event is “Evolution of Nursing Knowledge: Cultivating Best Practices.” The conference aims to educate attendees about the process of evidence-based practice, and to bring that evidence to the point of care, according to Elisa Jang, clinical practice manager for Translational Research.
As many as seven abstracts were submitted by employees for consideration, according to Leah Kuchta, administrative support specialist.
