Genetic testing for cancer is a way to assess your genetic risk and motivate you to start taking steps to reduce your risk of developing several cancers including:

Through genetic testing for cancer, you can understand how your family history of cancer may predispose you and your relatives to developing certain types of cancer. By understanding your risk, you can take action that will potentially prevent cancer or detect it at its earliest stage when it is most treatable.

Our experienced genetic counselor can help you determine your potential risk for developing certain types of cancer. Following a comprehensive review of your family history, the genetic counselor will recommend which genetic testing will be most useful in further evaluating your risk. She will also work with you to develop a plan to manage your risk.

Most genetic testing and screening services are covered by insurance if referral criteria are met. Our office will contact your insurance company to obtain pre-authorization.
