Family-centered care for you and your baby
Enjoy the comforts of home in our spacious, private birthing suites. With cozy recliners and private bathrooms, our hotel-like rooms offer everything to make you and your growing family comfortable.
We have in-house OB Anesthesiologist 24 hours a day, who collaborate with your care team to provide pain relief safely through placement of an epidural catheter for labor or a spinal/general anesthesia for cesarean section.
Part of planning for your birth is choosing the people you would like to be with you, and NorthBay allows our mothers to have up to five people at a time in your labor room. After your delivery, one adult support person may spend the night with you, and will help care for your new baby when you need to sleep. Read our full visiting policy by clicking here. Unless problems arise, your baby will stay with you in your room.
Rest assured we also have advanced equipment and technology close at hand, and an onsite newborn intensive care unit (NICU) offering the region's highest level of care for critically ill or premature infants. When you're ready to go home, our lactation specialists and support staff will provide the ongoing education and equipment you need to care for your baby.
