As the region's referral center for premature and critically ill infants, NorthBay Healthcare's Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) gives nearly 300 babies each year the specialized medical care they need to grow healthy and strong.  Staffed with an expert team of nurses and doctors, our state-of-the-art NICU is available to you and your baby around the clock.The anual reunion when we celebrate our NICU graduates is a highlight for everyone who works in the NICU.

While your baby is in the NICU, we encourage you to be actively involved with their care. Our goal is get your baby home with you as soon as they are ready.

We know that having an infant in the NICU is stressful, and many times unexpected. Please take advantage of the resources we offer to help you through this difficult time. Ask any of our nurses to connect you with our social worker, lactation consultant, or chaplain services and join our weekly support group designed for parents like you.
