Glamorous Evening Planned

January 23, 2017

Open That Bottle Night should be an elegant evening, from start to finish. And it’s not just for a select few this year. Anyone wishing to support the programs of NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement is invited to partake in this year’s gala black tie event.

For the past 11 years Open That Bottle Night has served as a forerunner to the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee. This year it will be held on Feb. 11, and will feature a Nut Tree Restaurant-themed menu, in a nod to the Jubilee’s return to the Nut Tree venue later this year. Alongside those iconic dishes will be a selection of award-winning wines, to be served as part of Open That Bottle Night’s request that friends and family use the occasion to come together and open that one bottle of wine that might otherwise have been considered too special to open.

Entertainment will include a lively auction of exotic items and a jaw-dropping performance by artist David Garibaldi, who will create three portraits from scratch that night.

Open That Bottle Night is Saturday, Feb. 11, and for the first time, tickets are available to the general public. In year’s past, the invitation-only gala had served as a way for NorthBay Healthcare Foundation to honor and thank the largest supporters of the Solano Wine & Food Jubilee. The Jubilee is set for May 20 at the Nut Tree’s Harbison Event Center.

Open That Bottle Night will be held at the Sunrise Event Center in Vacaville, and the evening gets under way at 5 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and a pouring of wines from Suisun Valley. Later, guests will be seated for the Nut Tree-themed meal prepared by Merchant & Main’s Bob Tooke.

After dessert, auctioneer Joe Gates kicks off a Live Auction that features vacations to exotic locales, an instant Wine & Food Jubilee wine cellar, highly sought-after tours and luxury suite tickets to sporting events, among other items.

Tickets to Open That Bottle Night are $250 each and include a ticket to the 30th annual Solano Wine & Food Jubilee, to be held on Saturday, May 20 at the Nut Tree’s Harbison Event Center in Vacaville. Jubilee tickets have a value of $125.

The Sunrise Event Center is located at 620 Orange Drive in Vacaville. To purchase a ticket, or to reserve a table of eight for the evening, contact Colleen Knight, Foundation program coordinator at (707) 646-3131, cknight@northbay.org.
