Professional Profile

I have always wanted to give back to my community and being in the health care system is one way for me to do that. The main reason I decided to pursue a medical career was because I grew up in a country where health care is not regarded as a priority and people often die from illness that can be either prevented or managed easily. My father death’s inspired me because there were no trauma hospitals to save his life when he was involved in an automobile accident.

I chose to become an nurse practitioner because after working in the emergency room for several years, I felt I was not working to my full potential. After talking to some nurse practitioners, I made the decision to become a nurse practitioner, and I am so happy I did because now, I have the opportunity to really relate to patients in a meaningful way.

My practice style is holistic and I like to address every aspect of the patient’s life, physical, emotional and spiritual. The one thing I want patients to know about me as a caregiver is that I am on their side, I am very compassionate, caring and empathetic. What I love most is making a positive difference in someone’s life.
