Professional Profile

I have always wanted to help make the world a better place by helping others. I believe everyone has a purpose in life. I found my passion in helping others through medicine.

In college, I went on a medical mission trip to Peru. That experience was life changing. We provided medical services in communities that could not afford health care. The hospitals were so far away that people did not have the money, yet alone the resources such as a car, to go see a doctor. They had no running water and there was no way for them to get yearly check-ups. The children had no access to dental care or even resources to brush their teeth and keep up with dental hygiene. They did not have access to medications such as common as antibiotics. It broke my heart, and motivated me to pursue my career as a physician assistant so that I could provide care to people who need it the most.

I became a physician assistant because I wanted to learn to provide quality health care to those in need. I love to learn and challenge myself. I really enjoy getting to work with patients. I enjoy listening to them and learning about them. I want my patients to know that as a caregiver, I really take my time to get to know them on an individual basis and to learn their story. Everyone is unique, and it is important to understand each problem as it pertains to that individual. I try to understand the problem based on the background and tailor my treatment plan to the individual.

As a physician assistant, I help expand care to more people, allowing them easier access. This is important because it promotes happy and healthy lifestyles.

When I am not working, I enjoy going to the gym, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
