Strategic New VP at Helm

Arriving Feb. 3, Scott M. Davis will become NorthBay Healthcare’s first Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer.

Scott is relocating from Grand Rapids, Mich., where he has served as corporate vice president for business development for Spectrum Health, the largest employer in western Michigan with 25,000 staff and 3,200 employed providers, including 1,400 physicians.

At Spectrum, Scott expanded clinical service lines, developed new programs and grew virtual health.

He has significant experience in strategic planning, project and performance management and service excellence. He joined Spectrum from Geissinger in Pennsylvania where he held a series of executive leadership positions over eight years. Prior to that he was vice president and strategy officer for Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Fla.

Scott started his career in the U.S. Air Force as an intelligence officer. He is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in State College and a master’s degree in health services administration from Marywood University in Scranton, Penn.

Scott and his wife have two children, both in high school. They are excited to move to California, where his wife grew up and attended UC Davis.
