Caregivers and child welfare professionals from across Solano County will gather March 4-7 for a conference in Vacaville with the theme: “Being Super Heroes for Children and Families.”

Kick off for the Foster Kinship Care Education conference will be held at 6 p.m. March 4 with a screening of the IndiFlix film “LIKE.” The movie is an original documentary and series that explores the impact of social media on our lives. The film focuses on how social media is a tool and social platforms are a place to connect, share and care, but asks if that is what’s really happening.

The screening will be followed by a discussion of the impact of social media, featuring a panel of experts including NorthBay Healthcare licensed clinical social workers and social media/online specialist Robin Miller.

The conference and the “LIKE” screening will be held at the Sunrise Event Center, 620 Orange Drive in Vacaville. For more information or to register, visit FosterLuv.com.
