New Chief of Staff Steps Up

Cardiac Anesthesiologist Adam Tibble, M.D., has been elected by the medical staff at NorthBay Healthcare group to a two-year term as Chief of Staff of the Medical Executive Committee, effective March 1. He will also serve as the chair for the Leadership Council.

Emergency Medicine physician Blake Cleveland, M.D., was selected as the vice chief of staff for a two-year term and will also serve as the chair of the Quality Improvement Committee.

NorthBay Healthcare Trauma Program Medical Director and General Surgeon J. Peter Zopfi, D.O., who has served the past two years as chief of staff, will become the past chief of staff.

James, Bronk, M.D., department chair for Diagnostic Imaging, will again be the NorthBay Healthcare Medical Staff Representative to the Organized Medical Staff Section of the California Medical Association, a position he has held for more than 23 years.

“Congratulations to Dr. Tibble,” said Aimee Brewer, president of NorthBay Healthcare Group. “We are looking forward to his leadership of the MEC and thank him for giving his time and expertise to advance NorthBay.”

Dr. Tibble said his focus as chief of staff will be to continue work in the areas of physician leadership, advancement of team-centered healthcare and advancement of clinical services for the community.

His top priorities will be to improve physician engagement and interdepartmental relationships, said Dr. Tibble.
