Public Welcome to Get Pfizer Vaccine in Pavilion
With the highly transmissible delta variant sparking another spike in COVID-19 cases in Solano County, NorthBay Healthcare is offering yet another way for residents to get a Pfizer vaccine.
A free walk-in clinic, open to the general public age 12 and up, will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday in the Welcome Pavilion of NorthBay Medical Center, 1200 B. Gale Wilson Blvd., in Fairfield, according to Ryan Seo, Director of Pharmacy Services.
“With the number of patients surging in area hospitals, it’s clear that the vaccine is our best solution toward getting the upper hand in this pandemic,” said Seo. “Even if you’re vaccinated, you can still transmit the disease to others. That’s why it’s important to get as many people vaccinated as possible, because vaccinated people who do get COVID-19 typically experience milder symptoms.
Book ahead if you can, said Seo. Vaccines can be scheduled via www.MyTurn.ca.gov, for either the Welcome Pavilion location in Fairfield or at the Coumadin Clinic at NorthBay VacaValley Hospital on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
In addition, NorthBay patients can schedule a vaccine at their Center for Primary Care location by calling (707) 646-5500.
Patients at both hospitals and in the emergency departments can also receive the vaccine in the hospital.
