The chat will be held at 5 p.m. on the NorthBay Facebook page (Facebook.com/NorthBayHealthcare).

Doc Talk Live chats are half-hour events featuring presentations on a variety of health topics. Each chat includes time for questions and answers and can be viewed live on the NorthBay Facebook page.

Next month, join physician Larissa Chartrand, M.D., at noon on Sept. 22, when she will present “Prevent This: A Doctor’s Guide to Good Health.”

The chat will focus on why taking care of your body is important and the difference between preventive and maintenance medicine.

Next, vascular surgeon Melissa Loja, M.D., will present “All About Aortic Aneurysms,” at 10 a.m. on Oct. 13.

The chat will note that both men and women are equally at risk for aortic aneurysms, which is more common with increasing age and will share the good news that there are treatment options available.

Orthopedic specialist Robert Peterson, M.D., will lead a discussion at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 titled “Play It Safe (And Stay on the Field).”
