Support Groups Meet in Person and Virtually

Some NorthBay Health support groups will continue to meet virtually and in person in September.
NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement’s Veterans Bereavement Support Group for both men and women meets in person on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, from 2 to 3 p.m. The group will meet at 2470 Hilborn Road, Suite 201, in Fairfield.
Ruel Guerrero, NorthBay Health Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator and U.S. Air Force veteran, will facilitate.
Contact Ruel at (707) 920-3672 for more information.
The Solano County Alzheimer’s Dementia Caregivers Support Group will meet via Zoom video or phone conference at 7 p.m. Sept. 13. The meetings are held in confidence on the second Wednesday of each month.
Co-sponsored by NorthBay Health and the Alzheimer’s Association, the group is facilitated by trained volunteers and is exclusively for current and former caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s or other dementias.
Those joining the group for the first time are asked to RSVP with name, email and phone by calling the NorthBay Alzheimer’s Resource Center at (707) 624-7971, or emailing the center at resourcecenter@northbay.org.
Stroke survivors, caregivers, family members and friends are invited to share their accomplishments and struggles Sept. 18, during the virtual “New Beginnings” stroke support group meeting.
The group meets on the third Monday of each month from 10 to 11:30 a.m., providing the opportunity for members to get the support from people who understand what they’ve been through.
