HealthSpring Guided Classes Now Open to Nonmembers

Interested in exploring Tai Chi, a meditation class or High-Intensity Interval Training in boxing, but not sure you want to take on a fitness club membership?

NorthBay HealthSpring fitness now has a special deal for nonmembers, opening slots for a variety of guided-training classes that range from four to 10 weeks in length.

Guided training programs are open to small groups and led by a fitness coach.

HIIT Boxing is an eight-session course that focuses on proper punching and kicking techniques. Participants will build punch and kick combos using the heavy bag and target mitts. The series will build up their cardiovascular endurance, core stability and mobility. Cost is $150 for members and $180 for nonmembers.

Mindful You is an eight-week course led by meditation practitioner Tina Clay. Participants will learn the basics of meditation and guidelines to begin practice. Cost is $200 for members and $230 for nonmembers.

Back in Action is a 10-session course that helps individuals who are dealing with back pain. The course will explore the causes of pain and limited mobility and offer customized training to help you get back in action. Cost is $340 for members and $370 for nonmembers.

Tai Chi and Qigong is a 10-week program that will help participants develop self-defense skills while improving their mind, body and spirit. Cost is $340 for members and $370 for nonmembers.

Queenax is a 10-week program that is progressively challenging and complex. The course uses the Queenax Functional Training program, sandbags, battle ropes, TRX rip trainers, bosu and slam balls to enhance metabolism and boost participants’ fitness levels. Cost is $340 for members and $370 for nonmembers.
