Visitors Must Procure Guest Badge at NorthBay Medical Center

Posted: January 8, 2019

For the protection of patients, staff and guests, all visitors to NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield must register before entering the hospital.

The easy-to-use Envoy visitor badge system operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

A special security podium in the hallway outside the Emergency Department is staffed with a security officer 24/7/365 to help visitors sign in and print badges from an iPad. During business hours, NorthBay Healthcare ambassadors also help visitors sign in and print badges in the Welcome Pavilion.

The program is simple. After answering a few questions, including destination and room number they plan to visit, guests take a photo and print out their badge and must wear it in plain view.

Plans call for implementing the same system in NorthBay VacaValley Hospital in Vacaville in 2020.
