  • Best Practices in Injectables for Diabetes | July 21st at 12:00 p.m.
    In this session we will explore the most efficient ways to help patients take insulin and other injectable diabetes medications. Case studies will support the best practices.
  • Cardiovascular Risk Reduction | August 18th at 12:00 p.m.
    Many people with diabetes die from cardiovascular disease. Now we have diabetes medications that can reduce cardiovascular events. We will provide an overview of the data for these agents.
  • Hypoglycemia | September 15th at 12:00 p.m.
    Hypoglycemia is the rate limiting step in diabetes treatment. We will review etiologies of hypoglycemia and its treatment.
  • Diabetes on a Budget | October 20th at 12:00 p.m.
    Let’s face it, treating diabetes is expensive. We will discuss ways to make it less expensive to treat diabetes, including meds and supplies.
  • ADA—Standards of Care Update | December 15th at 12:00 p.m.
    Each November the ADA updates it’s standards of care (SOC). We will provide an overview of the latest updates from the SOC.

Meet Our Presenter

Jay Shubrook, D.O., is a diabetologist at NorthBay Healthcare as well as Professor, Primary Care Department at Touro University, California (TUCA) and Director of Clinical Research and Diabetes Services, TUCA/Solano County Family Health Services. He received his medical degree from University of Oklahoma College of Osteopathic Medicine, Tulsa, OK.
