The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits nearly 18,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. The Joint Commission is the predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. The commission has developed professionally-based standards and evaluated the compliance of health care organizations against these benchmarks. American College of Surgeons (ACoS) - Level II Trauma Verification

NorthBay's Medical Center is a verified Level II trauma center by the American College of Surgeons, assuring that critically injured patients receive the highest level of trauma care available outside a university medical center. This means 24-hour coverage by surgeons, anesthesiologists, radiologist and a critical care team to treat trauma injuries.

American College of Cardiology - Chest Pain Center
NorthBay is the first and only accredited Chest Pain Center in Solano County, a designation it has held since 2009. This prestigious Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI designation from the American College of Cardiology means that our cardiovascular teams are focused on the most efficient and effective care of acute coronary syndrome patients.
American College of Cardiology - Chest Pain–MI Registry®
NorthBay Health Medical Center has demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025) and performed at the highest level for specific performance measures to receive the 2026 American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain–MI Registry Performance Achievement Award. We are proud to be among only 440 hospitals nationwide to earn this recognition. This award recognizes sustained achievement in key performance measures within the Chest Pain–MI Registry and reflects our commitment to delivering guideline-directed care for heart attack patients. Participation in the registry supports continuous quality improvement through datadriven insights.
American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR)
NorthBay's Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is nationally certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Consequently, this means our program meets the gold standard for rehabilitative care we provide to our patients in following the high standards established and enforced by the AACVPR.
American College of Radiology (ACR)
NorthBay Health's Diagnostic Imaging services are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) the highest accreditation in medical imaging. In addition to being named a Breast Imaging Center for Excellence, we are accredited in the following: MRI (breast, head, spine, body, musculoskeletal, and MR angiography); Computed Tomography (adult and pediatric head/neck, chest and abdomen; mammography, stereotactic biopsy), PET (Oncology), breast ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. We are also recognized by ACR as a designated center for Low-Dose CT scans for lung cancer screening.
American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer
First accredited by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer in 1996, the NorthBay Cancer Center was the first non-military accredited cancer program in Solano County. The Commission is dedicated to improving health care for people with cancer through standard setting which promotes cancer prevention, research, education and comprehensive quality care.
