Meet Mark Behl,
President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mark Behl leads NorthBay Health in its mission to deliver conveniently accessible, high-quality care to the North Bay community. Mark also serves as a member of the NorthBay Health Advantage, NorthBay Healthcare Foundation, NorthBay Health Group, and NorthBay Healthcare Corporation Boards of Directors.

Mark leads the system’s two hospitals, a network of primary and specialty care clinics, a health plan, and a comprehensive continuum of services that support patients across every stage of care. With more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, Mark has guided major health systems through growth, transformation and innovation, focusing on operational excellence, value-based care, and patient-centered outcomes.

Before joining NorthBay Health, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Health Network, overseeing operations at 10 hospitals and more than 100 clinics. His leadership experience also includes executive roles at Dignity Health, CommonSpirit Health, UC San Diego Health, and Renown Health.

He is passionate about advancing NorthBay Health’s TrueNorth values and building healthier communities through teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Mark holds a master’s degree in health care administration from Seton Hall University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
