My grandmother told me from an early age I would be a nurse because of my caring nature and love of people. After spending 7 years in the U.S. Navy right out of high school, I realized she was right and nursing was my true calling.

I developed a passion for caring for people with heart problems after 11 years of cardiovascular intensive care nursing.

As a cardiovascular acute care nurse practitioner, I enjoy making sure my patients and their family's needs are met in the hospital when they are most vulnerable. My patients know I am their advocate and I will give them the "tools" they need to achieve their health goals.
