Overwhelming Generosity – From Masks to Meals

NorthBay Healthcare wants to thank you all – businesses, service groups and many, many individuals – for the outpouring of generosity in recent weeks as our health care system does its best to prepare for what comes next during this growing COVID-19 pandemic.

We have been touched, and amazed every single day, by the thoughtful gifts and donations – gloves, masks, face shields, healthy juices, snacks, meals and the thoughtful cards of encouragement – offered up to help our staff. We appreciate the local newspapers and the community on social media sharing our story of compassion and outreach.

Going forward, we ask that if you have a donation of food, cash or other non-supply items, please contact the folks in our NorthBay Healthcare Foundation – (707) 646-3138. That way we will ensure we can acknowledge your gift and thank you.

An important note: To adhere to our infection prevention guidelines, we cannot accept home-baked goods or meals. We need to protect our workers and our patients in our facilities, so it is important food and drink deliveries are packaged and delivered properly. We can work with local restaurants and caterers to ensure safe preparation, packaging and delivery.

Because those in our hospitals, urgent care clinics and health centers are laser focused on their work, the Foundation team will take on coordinating donations so care teams can continue to focus on patients. Our foundation staff will make sure your donation reaches those on the front lines and those working diligently behind the scenes to respond to this health emergency.

Most importantly, stay safe. Practice social distancing, which we refer to as social caring. Thank you for rooting on and recognizing the heroes who will be there when you need them.

Meanwhile, we have updated the list of the items we need most on this webpage. Keep reading to learn more.
