I have always been interested in the sciences, I started at UC Davis with the goal of continuing on to medical school to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology. My love for biology took me on a path focusing on marine science and a short career in environmental chemistry. I quickly realized I was missing my first and true passion; caring and advocating for women’s healthcare needs.
I chose to become a nurse practitioner because it is a discipline based on a collection of theories focused on person, health, environment and nursing care. This training has given me the ability to provide caring and compassionate health care and education to women from menarche through menopause. As well as being able to apply evidence-based medicine to diagnose and treat conditions common among women throughout their lifetime. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know my patients, develop trusting relationships and help them live healthy lives.
As a nurse practitioner, I am a nurse in training and heart. My goal is to help patients to feel comfortable in the office, be able to speak freely about their concerns, and know there is no judgment in my exam room. It's important to me to make sure patients feel truly heard, cared for, and made a part of their healthcare decisions.
When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, loving my pets and volunteering with marine mammals.
