Foundations Leadership Academy Update

Northbay Health’s commitment to developing leaders continues to thrive through the Foundations Leadership Academy, where team members across the organization are strengthening their skills, expanding perspectives and learning how to lead with intention.

With the first year of the program coming to a close in December, inaugural cohort member Bea McCrea shared her thoughts on the experience.

“The Leadership Academy has been a fantastic opportunity that I am truly grateful to be a part of. Throughout the year, we have explored what it means to be an effective leader, from understanding our individual strengths and leadership styles to strengthening communication, building meaningful relationships and learning how to influence positive change.”

She continued, “We have also had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with Mark Behl and other leaders across Northbay Health, gaining valuable perspectives and insights along the way.”

Reflecting on her journey as the program comes to an end, Bea shared, “My goal is to continue growing as a leader by putting what I’ve learned into practice, embracing my strengths, and looking for opportunities to positively influence, support and empower others every day.”

Chief People Officer Jim Andersen also shared his gratitude for a wonderful inaugural year: “The Academy is progressing as planned, with graduation planned for December.” He is looking forward to more FLA opportunities with the new cohort in 2027.
