NorthBay Medical Center has earned the highest possible rating, “High Performing”, in U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care for the fourth consecutive year. This distinction in maternity care for uncomplicated pregnancies helps expectant families make informed decisions about where to seek care and reflects NorthBay’s commitment to providing a safe, compassionate, and quality experience throughout the birth process. This honor affirms NorthBay Health’s adherence to the highest standards of care for breastfeeding mothers and their babies, based on the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding, a set of evidence-based practices recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). NorthBay Medical Center is the only hospital in Solano County designated as Baby-Friendly, providing mothers and babies in its community with access to exceptional breastfeeding support, with specially trained staff and designated resources to educate and encourage mothers in their journey.
