Support Groups Meet Virtually

NorthBay Healthcare support groups will meet virtually during September.

The Vacaville NorthBay Alzheimer’s Dementia Caregiver Support Group will meet via video or phone conference at 7 p.m. Sept. 8.

The group is co-facilitated by volunteers Bob Panzer, Donna Stewart Sharen Podzimek and Patt Florez, and is exclusively for current and former caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s or other dementias.

The meetings are held in confidence on the second Wednesday of each month.

Those wishing to join the group are asked to email the NorthBay Alzheimer’s Resource Center at resourcecenter@northbay.org and provide their phone number. Instructions for joining will then be provided prior to the meeting. For assistance, call (707) 646-3132.

Stroke survivors, caregivers, family members and friends are invited to share their accomplishments and struggles Sept. 21, during the virtual “New Beginnings” stroke support group meeting.

The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 10 to 11:30 a.m., providing the opportunity for members to get the support from people who understand what they've been through.

For more information, call Elizabeth Gladney at (707) 646-4034, or email at egladney@Northbay.org.
