Nurse Camp Apps on Tap for Local High School Students

NorthBay Health’s Nurse Camp, a must-do for Solano County teenagers considering a clinical career — will return in August — three years after the annual event was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Applications are being accepted now through June 11.
The popular hands-on program will be slightly scaled back from previous years — three days instead of four and limited to 20 local students. It will take place Aug. 1-3.
Only local high school students in the graduating classes of 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 are eligible.
Applicants must get their parent’s signed permission, write one paragraph on the topic “Why I would like to attend Nurse Camp,” and obtain a letter of recommendation from a teacher, school counselor or employer.
Applications must be received via email to NurseAcademy@NorthBay.org no later than June 11.
Amy Ciraulo, R.N, clinical nurse leader, along with Laurel Nielson, R.N., clinical manager for Women’s Services and Maureen Allain, R.N., clinical supervisor in 2 North, are leading the camp and training the next generation of leadership.
