New Medicare Option Offered

NorthBay Healthcare will accept the AARP MedicareComplete Secure Horizons HMO by United Healthcare beginning Jan. 1.

The plan will allow its users to retain their NorthBay Medical Group doctors and hospital.

"This is great for our patients because it provides more health care coverage options," explained Kelly Rhoads Poston, senior marketing representative in Business Development. Medicare Advantage plans offer more benefits than original Medicare including prescription drug coverage (Part D) and many additional benefits, she said.

A series of meetings to cover the benefits of the plan and answer questions will be held as follows:

NorthBay VacaValley Wellness Center

Nov. 13, 10-11 a.m.
Nov. 27, 2-3 p.m.
Dec. 3, 10-11 a.m.
