In honor of Volunteer Week, April 18-24, NorthBay Healthcare Foundation President Paul McGinty recorded a video message for NorthBay Guild volunteers, and it has been shared on social media and NorthBay.org this week. In the message, he acknowledged the “cheerful greetings and kind words; the TLC you’ve given our patients; the tireless energy and elbow grease you put into myriad projects through the years, making our health care system the best it can be for every patient, every encounter, every time.” He said he understands how frustrated volunteers have been to be sidelined, while adding that safety must come first. “I look forward to the day – soon, I hope – when we can meet face to face and I can thank you personally for your service to this system,” he said. “You all are truly at the heart of our operation.”
