We're a Baby-Friendly hospital and just in case your new baby needs extra support after birth, our level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed with board-certified neonatologists. The comforts of home in state-of-the-art facilities

Providing the best care and comfort for our new moms and their babies is our privilege. When you deliver your baby at NorthBay you will enjoy the comforts of home including spacious, private birthing suites, cozy recliners and private bathrooms — everything you need to make you and your growing family comfortable. Rest assured, we also have advanced equipment and technology close at hand and a level III newborn intensive care unit (NICU) offering the region's highest level of care for critically ill or premature infants. Our in-house OB Anesthesiologists are available 24 hours a day, working with your care team to provide pain relief safely through a number of options including nitrous oxide, epidurals for labor and spinal/general anesthesia when C-sections are needed.

We’re Solano’s only designated Baby-Friendly hospital which means your healthy baby stays with you, and to encourage bonding and breastfeeding, newborns enjoy prolonged skin-to-skin contact with their moms just after birth.

Choosing those you want to support you through childbirth is key. At NorthBay you can have up to five people with you during labor. After your baby is born, chose an adult support person to stay the night with you to help care for your new baby, so you can catch up on your sleep. From prenatal classes to breastfeeding education and support from certified lactation specialists, we’re by your side every step of the way. That's why NorthBay really is a great place to have a baby.
