Meet Chris Timbers,
Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer
As Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Christopher “Chris” Timbers leads NorthBay Health’s information technology strategy, overseeing all enterprise IT systems that support exceptional care delivery and operational excellence.
Since joining NorthBay in 2015, Chris has guided the organization’s digital transformation, ensuring secure, reliable and innovative technology solutions that enhance patient and provider experiences. With over two decades of experience in healthcare IT leadership, Chris has successfully led multiple electronic health record implementations, established strong governance frameworks, and built high-performing teams across complex organizations. Before NorthBay Health, he held senior technology leadership roles at Johns Hopkins Medicine, where he served as Interim CIO for the Community Division and Vice President and CIO for Suburban Hospital, as well as at Perot Systems, where he directed the Program Management Office.
Deeply committed to community service, Chris serves on the Board of Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa County. His leadership is grounded in collaboration, innovation, and a steadfast belief that technology should empower compassionate and connected care.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
