Meet Jim Andersen,
Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer

As Chief People Officer, Jim Andersen leads NorthBay Health’s human resources strategy, fostering a culture of engagement, growth and inclusion across the organization. He oversees all aspects of Human resources, including talent acquisition and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and diversity, equity and inclusion—ensuring that NorthBay remains a place where people thrive and purpose drives performance.

With more than 25 years of leadership experience in healthcare and government, Jim brings deep expertise in organizational development and workforce transformation. Before joining NorthBay Health in 2018, he served 14 years with Dignity Health, where he led human resources operations for the North State Service Area, supporting multiple hospitals and clinics through innovative workforce and culture initiatives. He is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and holds advanced credentials in employee and labor relations from UC Davis.

A passionate advocate for people and performance, Jim is dedicated to advancing NorthBay Health’s mission by building strong, connected teams that deliver compassionate care to the community.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and a master’s degree in business administration with a specialization in healthcare management.
