NorthBay Health, a regional healthcare system dedicated to improving the well-being of local communities by delivering high-quality, conveniently accessible care today announced the official opening of a new primary and urgent care clinic in Winters.

Conveniently located in Winters’ Historic District at 101 Main Street, the new facility will provide same-day appointments and walk-in care to residents in Winters as well as the neighboring towns of Davis, Woodland, Madison, and West Sacramento.

This clinic, NorthBay Health’s first location in Yolo County, directly reflects our dedication to expanding reach and services so that every patient has the most accessible and highest standard of care possible close to home. As part of a $250 million, multi-year investment in ambulatory services, NorthBay Health is transforming how communities across the region receive care by ensuring patients can conveniently access primary and urgent care. In rural areas like Winters, convenient access to medical services is critical so patients can avoid long travel or unnecessary emergency room visits.

“Just one year ago, we committed to addressing the challenges that prevent patients across our region from receiving the accessible and high-quality care that they deserve. Today, we are delivering on this promise by officially opening our newest facility in Winters,” said Mark Behl, Chief Executive Officer and President of NorthBay Health. “Our growth throughout the North Bay region is a direct response to what we’ve heard from the community – a call for timely, expert health services close to home and work. It’s all part of our mission to advance the well-being of residents through clinical excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care.”

Winters joins NorthBay Health’s growing roster of primary and urgent care facilities in Solano and Napa counties, including Fairfield, Dixon, Vacaville, and American Canyon. Additional clinic openings and announcements are also planned for the end of 2025 and beyond.

The construction and subsequent opening of the Winters clinic was made possible through NorthBay Health’s close collaboration with residents, community leaders, and elected officials to understand and address the community’s unique healthcare needs, as well as the ongoing support from California Forever. California Forever’s continued partnership has helped to advance NorthBay Health’s ambulatory network by accelerating the development of new clinics and reducing critical care gaps.

“We’re thrilled to support the exceptional work NorthBay Health is doing to bring approachable, high-quality healthcare to neighborhoods between the Bay and the Valley,” said Jan Sramek, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of California Forever. “Investments in healthcare infrastructure in cities like Winters are key to empowering patients with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed health decisions, while also fostering long-term community well-being and economic vitality.”
